What is Sombra?
Sombra is, at it's core, a story of
rebelling against an unjust system. It also questions whether or
not the ends can justify the means. It can also be viewed as a
metaphor for the deculturization
of our society. Or it can be seen as just an athmospheric sci-fi
action-adventure mystery.
More specifically, it's the story of a man known simply as Kage.
He awakens one night in an alley amongst garbage bags without any
memory of who he is or where he came from except for that he was
chased down and shot. He briefly wanders until he stumbles upon a
small run-down club where the course of his life will change
forever.
What does Sombra mean? Did you make it up?
No, I didn't make up the title. It's a Spanish word which means "Shadow." I choose it because I feel it reflects a certain mood and style I want keep consistent through the comic. That and it fits pretty well with a major theme of the story.
